The simplest chocolava cake is very easy to make.
For the cake batter, you will need a basic chocolate cake recipe.
2 cups of sugar
1 and 3/4 cup of flour
3/4 cup of cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup oil(vegetable)
2 tsp vanilla
Mix all the ingredients.
For the chocolate lava, get a plain chocolate bar and smash it. Add a dash of milk and make a paste. Let it chill for 10 minutes. Make the paste into small balls.
Add the cake batter to cupcake cases and place one ball in each of them and bake for 10–12 minutes.

The Perfect Chocolate Cake
- 1 3/4 cups (210g) all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (400g) sugar
- 3/4 cup (90g) good unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup (240g) buttermilk
- 1/2 cup (112g) vegetable oil
- 2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup (237g) freshly brewed hot coffee (I use decaf)
- Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into the bowl and mix until combined.
- In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry. With mixer still on low, add the coffee and stir just to combine, scraping the bottom of the bowl with a rubber spatula. Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350, until a cake tester comes out clean.
- Cool in the pans for 30 minutes, then turn them out onto a cooling rack and cool completely.
